VELOCITY QUILL

One of the newest rims on the market, the Velocity Quill is a game changer.  If you are looking for a light weight alloy wheel set then you should have ended up here.  At under 1350 grams for a 20/24 spoke build these are among the lightest alloy clincher rims available.  They sport a 24.5mm wide profile and are tubeless compatible.  Contact me for build recommendations and pricing.

The perfect compliment for your 23mm wide carbon wheels.  You know that there will be days that are not suited for carbon wheels.  Change the brake pads and put these on ... what could be easier?  Using the same rear hub as my carbon wheels means no rear derailleur adjustments.  Less time tinkering with your bike means more time for riding.

Available in black or silver, the XC-279 rim weighs just over 500 grams; about the same as a 60mm carbon clincher.  Not heavy by any means, you will probably be surprised by how well these perform.  The width combined with the 28mm depth and rounded nose gives these a pretty good aero profile.  These rims are actually sold by several big wheel builders under disguised names (and at higher prices.)

KINLIN TUBELESS

The XR31T and XR22T are the newest offerings from Kinlin.  These wide profile rims are tubeless compatible and provide excellent quality at a reasonable price point.  At 31mm deep, the XR31T is a workhorse rim and makes for a perfect training wheel.  It is also available in a disc (no brake track) version for your disc equipped road bike or gravel grinder.  The XR22T is the shallower (and lighter version of this rim.  It is perfect for smaller riders and people that live in hilly areas or just love climbing.  A 20/24 spoke set of XR31T's will tip the scales at 1540 grams while the XR22T will come in under 1460 grams.
